Ferrule secured eye termination (FSET) – Is an eye formed at a rope end and secured by a ferrule pressed onto the rope by the process of a Hydraulic Press.
Ferrule secured eyes shall conform to BS EN 13411-3
The minimum length of plain rope between ferrrules terminating a sling leg shall be 20 times the normal rope diameter.
Soft Eyes are normally 15 times the relevent rope diameter.
Terminal fittings such as Master Links, Shackles, Hooks etc can be utilized. However, all fittings must exceed or equal the capacity of the Sling.
